Spirits' Hollow
13-year-old Jewel is a baby-goth city girl with an obsession with all things mystical. So, when her parents set out to ruin her life by moving them so far away from the city she can only see clouds and cows, naturally, she's devastated.So far from her friends, her grandma, and everything that is familiar and safe, Jewel struggles to connect with her new peers. Everyone seems just a little off at this school. And their favourite hangout spot is a cornfield. Jewel's not sure she can survive this.
After being pranked by the cool kids, Jewel suddenly discovers she actually has supernatural abilities. Jewel's new power comes with great responsibility, but also puts her on the radar of the shadowy figures behind the pristine, too perfect town image. With the help of her Grandma Ini, her new friends Magnolia and Kevin, and her rambunctious twin brothers, Jewel uncovers the mysteries that hold this strange new town together.
Me, The Artist
Ashley is a professional 2D Designer and
Comic Artist from Toronto, ON. Pages of my comic INITIUM were displayed in
the Geppi Entertainment Museum as part of the Milestones: African Americans in
Comics, Pop Culture and Beyond exhibit in Baltimore, Maryland in 2013. She held
a graphic novel masterclass for artists with the Brampton Arts Organization in
2023. In 2025 and 2021, she ran a graphic novel masterclass with Diaspora Dialogues. I was a mentor with Project 10’s Line Up! Youth Comics Arts Mentorship
Programme in 2020. I like drawing and will draw forever!
